There is probably only one place in the world where gambling, expensive things and sins are on the daily use: its Las Vegas, the brightest city in the world! There is no doubt in it, but what is the cat doing there? Of course playing casino games!
“Cat in Vegas” is one of the newest games launched by Playtech. The game itself is a five reel slot, three rows each and it offers twenty paylines. The famous strip of Las Vegas can be seen in a background. The first thing that comes to ones mind when watching the intro is the Raoul Duke (Johny Depp in “Las Vegas Parano”). Cat's hat, shirt and glasses make him look almost like Raoul, but as he approaches Las Vegas, by means of some kind of super powers, he gets all dressed up and smart, ready to hit the casinos. Felix – it is the name of the cat – is the luckiest cat in Vegas, thus no matter what machine he touches, he generally hits the jackpot.
Animations and graphics used in the game are very pleasant. Each win activates a set of animations either referring to the symbols that made a winning combination, or referring to the box showing the amount of money you have won. The music in the intro is pleasant for the ear, so are the sounds during the game. Not tiring at all and as a result, it's possible to spend laterally hours playing “Cat in Vegas”.
Before I will tell you about the bonuses, let me introduce the symbols. The least interesting, but sometimes making you smile, A, K, Q, J and 10. These are neon made and every time they make a winning combo on any of the paylines, they start to shine. Then there are Felix's selfies. First, leisure time Felix chilling, with a drink, in a rubber yellow duck swimming toy ring. Next selfie shows Felix being dressed as Raoul with a bunch of Benjamins (Franklins obviously). And then the last but certainly not least, Smart, dressed up Felix's selfie, right after making a poker table bankrupt, with enormous amount of poker chips (probably glued together, as they don't fall even though they are being held not completely straight). All of the selfies should be desired by the person who is playing, as they can reward with lots of green.
Of course there are plenty of special features and that's what makes this game even more interesting. The most important symbols are always the special ones.
First of all, the Wild. It it is a golden WILD sign on a purple background. This unique symbol can substitute any symbols but the special ones.
Another special symbol is a Scatter - THE KING SHOW sign with stage lights. Three or more Scatters activate a special Free Spin round, where you get a random amount of spins. Before the spins start an animation of Elvis Felix appears placing some WILDs on the reels in order to help you get as much money as possible during the round.
There is also a Wheel of Luck option which activates another special round, where Felix can multiply your win. You can also hit x1 multiplier.
Vegas Slots are the symbols you want to catch the most. If you get to this special round you can also get a games jackpot. You just have to be lucky enough to lit up the red light on one of the four machines that Felix is spinning for you.
And what about the jackpot? There is nothing much to say about the jackpot – it is simply progressive and it is a very good news.
Testing “Cat in Vegas” brought me hell of fun. It sometimes frustrated me, but much more often I had a great time. Plus who doesn't like cats (especially looking like Raoul), money and Vegas. I don't consider my time wasted, but rather very well spent.
