The National Lottery Commission for the UK state lottery has confirmed that it will merge with the Gambling Commission on 1st October.
The new agreement between these two organisations will see the National Lottery Commission dissolved to create a solitary body. No further information is currently available, but more details should be revealed on the 1st.
Minister for Sport and Tourism has confirmed that the UK Commons Select Committee, which carried out an inquiry into the merger, agreed to its principles in a letter to the chairman of the Gambling Commission.
